Esther Cantor 2004

 
Esther came to the profession after having an extensive career in the travel industry, both in London and in New York.  More recently Esther completed the LLB Law at Birbeck College followed by the Bar Vocational Couse at Inns of Court School of Law. In 2002 she was awarded the Oxford University Press Book Prize by Birkbeck College.
 
Human Rights
Esther has a keen interest in Human Rights and started her practice in immigration matters, focusing on asylum and bail applications for immigration detainees, as well as general immigration cases.
 
Family Law
She has obtained experience in family law, in particular public, and private, children cases, contested residence and contact orders (S8 applications) and in the High Court in respect of applications for recognition of marriage and/or divorce (S55 MCA 1973).  Some of her work includes injunctions such as non-molestation orders and substantive ancilliary relief applications.
 
Crime
She has acquired experience in crime, dealing with offences involving the supply of drugs, public order offences, dishonesty offences, offences against the person and weapons/firearms offences, benefit fraud and taxi touting.
 
Civil
Breach of contract, noise abatement issues, personal injury, small claims and fast track trials for road traffic matters,  housing and disrepair.
