Lazarus completed a BA(Hons) in Law and a LLM at the London School of Economics and was called to the Bar in 1979.

Lazarus contributed to his local community as a voluntary legal advisor in the 1980's and 1990's at Newham Rights Centre.

Currently, his practice covers the areas of personal injuries, medical negligence, licencing and common law.
